I’m the soul behind Tummy Fete and thanks for your time on my page

As I gather my thoughts about my love for food, I reminisce the time when I first entered the kitchen. Growing up I did not have a fancy kid kitchen setup. I used to pretend play in the home kitchen, like I was a successful chef hosting a cooking show and millions of people were watching as my show live streamed, made sure the ingredients and recipes were well orchestrated, owing no room for mistakes. Little did I realize then that I was preparing myself for the future

I love food, both eating and cooking. I appreciate any vegetarian food from any cuisine and my recipes are inspired from flavors around the world.

Tummy Fete is all about scrumptious vegetarian food, made both quick and easy. Fine dining concept intrigued me with its portion, aesthetics and level of sophistication from simple ingredients. Being a mom of a toddler, I understand the importance of time, also providing healthy and nutritious food. The birth of Tummy fete is from these two worlds

At Tummy Fete you will find Unique vegetarian recipes yet simple and easy to make, with no compromise on nutrition and taste, along-side step-by-step instructions with pictures. A flavorful, fresh and healthy dish that I enjoy eating everyday. Apart from recipes, I would be sharing bits and pieces of my life outside kitchen. I love home décor and fashion, that’s another area of interest.

A little deeper

I am an Indian, living in the US for over half a decade now. I moved to the US soon after my marriage in 2014. I graduated with Master’s degree in Computer Science, now a software engineer at a big firm and proud mom of a beautiful toddler.

I am from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, known for infectiously enthusiastic people, cosmopolitan glamour at the same time maintaining the cultural values. The noise, the hustle and hassle, friends and family, is something I miss the most.

In 2018, we welcomed our baby girl Isha. You can find my pregnancy journey here. My sister has filmed the most memorable moment of our life and has meticulously put it together in this video.

We bought our home in 2019 and I have been involved in a lot of home decoration projects. As I mentioned earlier, I will be using this space to share those ideas too

I am often intrigued to explore and develop a lot of new skills, One of them being Makeup and the other into fitness. These both are my preemie babies, am hoping to improve in these areas too someday.
